So, on a trip to Berlin, I won’t forget to visit these famous attractions to make my holiday complete:
1. Unter den Linden – I’d love to experience German culture, so I’ll drop by this place (Under the Linden Trees in English), which is Berlin’s central boulevard. This is home to the following establishments: the Berlin Cathedral, the Berlin State Opera, the German Historical Museum, and the main building of Humboldt University.
2. Gendarmenmarkt and Friedrichstrasse – coined as the most stunning square in the city, you can find here the following: the Berlin Concert House, the French Cathedral, as well as the German Cathedral. A few blocks away you can visit exclusive hotels, cafes, and luxury stores for shopping and dining.
3. Pariser Platz – this is the location of the Brandenburg Gate, most famous icon of Berlin. According to history, this was constructed by Carl Gotthard Langhans between 1788-1791—a monument that comprises one of the many gates when Berlin was still a small enclosed city. On this square stands the Hotel Adlon as well as the Academy of the Arts.
4. Olympia Stadium – this structure was intended as a venue for the Olympic games, constructed during the 1930s. Now this is the home of Berlin’s soccer team, Hertha BSC.
